Beyond clearing.
Preventing recurrence.
Most acne treatments focus on clearing what's visible. The Acne Modulation add-on targets the underlying drivers — sebum production, bacterial activity, and follicular congestion — to clear current breakouts and interrupt the cycle that causes new ones.
Prescribed alongside the Core Formula's retinoid base, which accelerates cell turnover and prevents comedone formation at the follicular level. The combination addresses acne from multiple mechanisms simultaneously.
-
01
Active Breakout Clearance
Prescription-strength antibacterial and anti-inflammatory actives target existing breakouts — reducing papules, pustules, and cystic lesions faster than OTC alternatives.
-
02
Comedone Prevention
Comedolytic actives prevent dead skin cells and sebum from accumulating in follicles — addressing the root cause of blackheads and congestion before they form.
-
03
Post-Acne Pigmentation
Anti-inflammatory actives reduce the post-inflammatory response that leads to lingering dark marks — often more bothersome than the acne itself.
-
04
Long-Term Balance
The goal is not suppression of symptoms but recalibration of the skin environment — reducing the conditions that make recurrent breakouts inevitable.
Prescription actives.
Selected for your skin.
Formulation depends on your skin type, acne severity, and history. Your clinician selects from the following evidence-based actives — individually or in combination.
A topical prescription antibiotic that reduces C. acnes bacterial load and inhibits the inflammatory cascade that causes papules and pustules. Most effective when combined with retinoid therapy to reduce antibiotic resistance risk.
Reduces follicular keratinization (the process behind comedone formation), inhibits C. acnes growth, and reduces post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Particularly suitable for sensitive or darker skin tones.
Oil-soluble beta-hydroxy acid that penetrates the follicle to dissolve sebum plugs and clear congestion. Addresses blackheads and enlarged pores while reducing surface inflammation.
Concentration and combination are set by your clinician based on your acne type, severity, skin sensitivity, and response history. This formula cannot be purchased without clinical assessment and prescription approval.
For acne that keeps
coming back.
If breakouts clear and return on a cycle, the problem isn't the product — it's the absence of a system targeting the underlying biology.
Persistent, recurring, hormonal, or cystic acne that hasn't responded to OTC products or benzoyl peroxide. Works for inflammatory acne, comedonal acne, and mixed presentations.
Some patients experience a brief increase in breakouts in weeks 2–4 as cell turnover accelerates and congestion clears. This is normal and expected — not a sign the formula isn't working.
Most patients see meaningful reduction in breakout frequency and severity by weeks 6–8. Full stabilization typically occurs around the 3-month mark as the skin environment recalibrates.
The retinoid in the Core Formula prevents new comedone formation from the inside — the Acne Modulation add-on targets bacterial and inflammatory drivers simultaneously. The combination is significantly more effective than either alone.
