Targeting pigmentation
at the source.
Hyperpigmentation and melasma aren't surface problems — they're driven by overactive melanocytes responding to UV exposure, hormonal signals, or inflammation. Brightening serums address the result. This formula addresses the mechanism.
The Pigment Modulation add-on works alongside the Core Formula's retinoid base to regulate melanin production while the retinoid accelerates cell turnover — clearing existing pigmentation while limiting future formation.
-
01
Melanocyte Inhibition
Prescription actives interrupt melanin synthesis at the enzymatic level — reducing the overproduction that causes dark spots and melasma.
-
02
Post-Inflammatory Marks
Targets the discolouration left behind after acne, irritation, or inflammation — often more persistent than the original breakout.
-
03
Barrier-Stable Formulation
Pigment actives are compounded to correct tone without compromising barrier integrity — reducing the risk of rebound hyperpigmentation from irritation.

Cycled When Appropriate
Some actives (like hydroquinone) are used in structured cycles to maximize efficacy and minimize the risk of paradoxical darkening. Your clinician manages this timing.
Clinician-selected actives.
Individually compounded.
Depending on your assessment — skin tone, pigmentation type, severity, and history — your clinician selects from a range of proven pigment-regulating actives. Not every ingredient is used in every formula.
Increasingly favoured for melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Works by blocking plasminogen activation in keratinocytes, reducing the UV-triggered signal that stimulates melanin production. Well tolerated across skin tones.
Dual-action: inhibits tyrosinase (the enzyme behind melanin synthesis) while reducing inflammatory signals that drive PIH. Particularly effective for acne-related pigmentation and rosacea-associated redness.
A naturally-derived tyrosinase inhibitor that reduces melanin formation in existing pigmented areas. Often used in combination protocols to broaden the mechanism of action.
The gold-standard prescription depigmenting agent where appropriate. Used in structured cycles under clinician supervision to avoid the ochronosis risk associated with unsupervised long-term use.
Your clinician selects the appropriate combination and concentrations based on your skin tone, pigmentation type, and history. Not all actives are suitable for all patients — this is precisely why clinical assessment precedes every prescription.
For pigmentation that hasn't
responded to serums.
If over-the-counter brightening products have made little to no impact, the issue is likely one of concentration and mechanism — not effort.
Melasma, post-acne marks, sun damage, and uneven tone that hasn't responded to vitamin C serums or OTC brighteners. Works across skin tones — clinician selects actives appropriate for your Fitzpatrick type.
Always paired with the Core Formula. The retinoid base accelerates cell turnover while the pigment actives regulate melanin production — the combination is more effective than either alone.
Visible improvement in 8–12 weeks for most patients. Melasma responds more slowly than post-inflammatory marks. Your clinician sets realistic expectations based on your specific presentation.
All pigment-regulating treatment requires consistent SPF use. Without it, UV exposure undoes progress. Your clinician will cover sun protection requirements during your assessment.
